Servers (HS 8471.50) enter South Africa at 0% customs duty. VAT is 15% on the customs value plus a 10% uplift (about 16.5% of FOB), and servers need an NRCS Letter of Authority (VC 8055) before import; ICASA approval applies to wireless gear. We sell EXW Dalian; if you don't import from China yourself, we help you arrange a freight forwarder who delivers DAP/DDP and manages the VAT, clearance and NRCS paperwork.
